Cassia is from the same family as Cinnamon but it is from a different tree. The most important thing to remember is that Cassia is a HOT oil so remember to dilute before putting it directly on the skin.
Cassia was one of the oils used for anointing. Moses was given a formula of myrrh, cinnamon, cassia, calamus all mixed in virgin olive oil. Refer to Exodus 30: 23-38
“Phenols and phenylpropanoids are compounds of carbon ring molecules that create conditions where unfriendly viruses and bacteria cannot live. The most important function performed by phenylpropanoids is that they clean the receptor sites on the cells. Without clean receptor sites, cells cannot communicate, and the body malfunctions, resulting in sickness. dōTERRA cassia is highly concentrated (80%) with phenylpropanoids.” 1

Cassia is the Oil of Self-Assurance. According to the Emotions & Essential Oils, the negative emotions Cassia oil helps to shift are the following: Embarrassed, hiding, fear, humiliated, insecure, judged, shy, worthless
The positive properties we can adopt are the following: Courageous, self-assured, unashamed, confidence, valuable, authentic.
Confidence: Smell Cassia often and say positive powerful affirmations.
Cassia can help restore confidence. When we allow ourselves to be authentic and we accept ourselves more, we will find other people will love and accept us too.
Most people don’t see their beauty and their power. We don’t allow ourselves to enjoy the sweetness of who we are. Cassia gives us the courage to see our worth and value.
Create positive affirmations while you use Cassia to help you to emotionally balance. Here are some examples:
I am unashamed of who I am
I am confident and valuable
“All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad” —Psalm 45:8
The Bible says things in a positive term. Cassia is one of the oils to help people feel joy!
Cassia assists our fire elements within. Everyone has fire within them. Fire is passion and creativity. The fire has an ability to refine and burn off the debris leaving us is in our purest form.
What we often see is a defective being filled with flaws. We have such a difficult time loving ourselves when that is all we can see. Cassia helps us ‘burn away’ all the impurities to reveal the real you! This is why
This is why Cassia helps us digest new information, it helps us metabolize (burn energy) and create more movement in our body. It enlivens and warms us up reminding us that we are dynamic creatures of passion.
If you are living passively and sluggishly, Cassia will help you light up. I like using Cassia to help with developing self-love. Part of self-love is discovering who you are and what you like. It allows you to take risks and feel unashamed of who you are.
You have a wonderful purpose on earth. Be brave and fulfill that purpose with joy and passion.
